KULOB, December 19, 2008, Asia-Plus — the branch of open joint-stock company Agroinvestbonk, which is one of Tajikistan’s commercial banks, in Kulob has announced a festive action on occasion of the New Year holiday, Sayfiddin Qadamov, the head of Agroinvestbonk’s branch in Kulob, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the bank offers its customers deposit with annual rate of 25 percent for 2009, which is nearly two times more than usual deposit rate. “The action will last from December 20, 2008 to January 20, 2009,” Qadamov said, adding that they have also offered a number of other prize advantages to participants of the festive action such as “free opening of bank accounts both for legal and physical entities.”
“As of December 1, 2008, population’s deposits at all branches of Agroinvestbonk cross the Kulob region have amounted to 7,024 million somoni,” Qadamov said.
Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 57 other branches across the republic.
