Anticorruption agency to inspect targeted use of budgetary funds by ministries and organizations

DUSHANBE, April 24, 2009, Asia-Plus — Speaking to reporters in Dushanbe, the anticorruption chief Sherkhon Salimzoda noted on April 24 that the agency has worked out the plan of actions to inspect efficient and targeted use of budgetary funds.

According to him, a special attention will paid to inspection of expenses on purchase of business cars, construction, repairs and other expenses stipulated for ministries and organizations.  “Such inspections will be conducted at all ministries and organizations, local authorities and other federally funded organizations,” Salimzoda said.

He also noted that the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption itself had reduced expenses on purchase of business cars by 200,000 somoni, capital construction by 50 percent and running repairs by 40 percent.
