DUSHANBE, August 1, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The Association of Business Women of Tajikistan, Kadbony, supports organization training courses on the Russian languages and basic computer skills for female labor migrants, the Kadbony chairperson, Ms. Sabohat Rahimzoda, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to her, the training courses will be organized at the education center that was set up with support from the Association.  “The training courses will cover some 60 Tajik female labor migrants,” Rahimzoda said.

She noted that because of poor knowledge of the Russian language, the employment realities and legal requirements in the Russian Federation, many of them found themselves in irregular situations.  “The Association is currently taking efforts to help Tajik female labor migrants find worthy jobs in Russia,” said the Kadbony head, “They will also be instructed in protecting their rights.”

Rahimzoda added that they were awarded a presidential grant this year.  The funds were spent for setting up confectionery workshop that created more than 10 new jobs for local women, according to her.

More than 1,000 female entrepreneurs are currently members of the Association of Business Women of Tajikistan.
