CIS agrarians to meet in Ashgabat in November to discuss cooperation issues

DUSHANBE, August 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A three-day forum of the CIS farm producers will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from November 25-27 this year, according to the CIS Executive Committee.

The main objective of the forum is in encouraging further expansion of cooperation between the CIS states in the field of agriculture, raising level of providing food security as well as giving a new impulse to development of partnership between the CIS states in the agro-industry sphere.

The forum organizers include the ministries of agriculture, environmental protection and water economy, as well as the Light Industry Association and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

An exhibition of agricultural goods, agricultural machines and advanced technologies will be held on sidelines of the forum.  CIS companies will put on display their achievements in agriculture and relevant industries at the fair in Ashgabat.
