KHUJAND, August 12, 2009, Asia-Plus  — An operation carried out by Sughd police in the settlement of Buston, administrative center of the Mastchoh district Monday (August 10) evening led to the arrest of drug pusher.

“Undercover police officers were purchasing drugs from local resident, 49-year-old Kamol Nosirov, who has previous conviction for drug pushing,” said the source, “Four wraps of narcotic drug, tested positive to heroin weighing 1.912 kilograms, were confiscated from him.”

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Nosirov under the provisions of Article 200, part 3 (manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, and use of drugs) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
