KONIBODOM, August 27, 2009, Asia-Plus — A job fair was held in Konibodom on August 26.
According to Anvar Mahkamov, the head of the Konibodom agency for social care, 20 local enterprises participated at the fair and offered 395 job vacancies. “However, only 27 unemployed were placed in jobs and 17 other persons were sent to take training course on gas-and-electric welding,” Mahkamov said.
In all, eight job fairs have been held in Konibodom since the beginning of this year and 406 local unemployed have been placed in jobs, 89 others have been sent to take various refresher courses and 50 other persons have been sent to the paid public works.
