Substation “Dushanbe” transmittion line “South-north”, which is also constructed by China will be put into operation in Varzob today

Dushanbe. September, 4th. “Asia-plus” – Open ceremony of start up of substation “Dushanbe TL “South-north” (500 kw), erected by Chinese company “ТЕА” will take place today in settlement Chorbog of Varzob area. As have been informed to “AP” in the ministry of power and industry of the RT, on given transmission lines the electric power will move from Nurek HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION to Sogd region. Meanwhile, in Ganchin area of Sogd region installation of substation “Khujand” transmittion line “South-north” is already completed, and no go starting-up and adjustment works of the equipment.

On northern direction TL “South-north” which lasts from substation “Khujand” up to Shakhristan pass, are already established all 210 high-voltage supports. Wires of a high pressure are also mounted. Besides, near to this substation construction of transmittion line 220 кw has already begun.

 “Under the plan, it should connect transmittion line “South-north” to existing system of power supply of Sogd region. It is erected also by the Chinese company TEA. Let”s remind, that Chinese “TEA” is the general contractor of the project on construction of a transmission line “South-north” 500 kw, and also transmittion line “Lolazor-Khatlon” 220 kw, civil work on which were completed last year. In 2010, according to the contract, works on transmittion line “South-north” should be completed. Project cost of transmittion line “South-north” makes $281,3 million. Only 5 % of this sum is the share of Tajikistan, the rest is the long-term credit of the Chinese side.
