DUSHANBE, September 16, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe traffic police has reported a large marijuana haul.
The 22-year-old resident of Dushanbe Shamsher Cholov was detained on September 15 on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking and more than 18 kilograms of marijuana were found in his Toyota, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Shamsher Cholov on the drug-trafficking and an investigation is under way.
Shamsher Cholov is the son of one of former field commanders of the pro-government Popular Front Sulton Cholov.
