DUSHANBE, September 24, 2009, Asia-Plus — An employee of the currency exchange office has been killed in the center of Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the incident took place in the currency exchange office located not far from the building of the Ministry of Culture yesterday afternoon. “According to the preliminary data, unidentified persons entered the currency exchange office and inflicted 10 stab wounds on the office employee Manouchehr Mirzoyev and seized the money,” said the source, “Manouchehr Mirzoyev died on the way to the hospital.”
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
