DUSHANBE, October 2009, 2009, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon is departing for Moscow for a three-day visit tomorrow, according to presidential press service.
Tajik leader will visit Moscow and St. Petersburg and hold talks with high-ranking Russian state officials to discuss cooperation issues. A number of cooperation documents are expected to be signed during Rahmon’s visit to Moscow.
According to local experts, the Russian military base in Tajikistan and the level of participation of Russia in completion of construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power station (HPS) will be among major topics of Rahmon’s discussions with Russian officials.
