DUSHANBE, February 11, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Minister of Energy and Industries Gul Sherali yesterday met here with a delegation of Belarusian entrepreneurs, led by Deputy Minister of Industry, Gennady Svidersky.

According to the press service of the Tajik Ministry of Energy ad Industries (MoEI), the sides discussed prospects of further expansion of cooperation in the fields of energy and industry.  Cooperation with BelAZ, Belarusian manufacturer of haulage and earthmoving equipment, was among major topics of the meeting.

The Belarusian delegation arrived in Dushanbe Wednesday for a three-day visit and its members include 16 entrepreneurs and top managers of  Belarusian large enterprises, including BelAZ, MAZ, Amkodor, Lidselmash, Orshaafroprommash, Lidakhlenprodukt, Lidaagroprommash and Belagromash.

During their stay in Tajikistan, Belarusian entrepreneurs are also scheduled to hold talks with senior representatives from Tajik ministries of economic development and trade, transport and communications, and agriculture, as well as the Dushanbe mayor’s office, Tajik Railways, Orienbonk, Tajikagrileasing, and representatives of Tajik business community to discuss cooperation issues.
