DUSHANBE, February 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On Friday February 12, President Emomali Rahmon congratulated Viktor Yanukovych on winning Ukraine’s presidential elections, according to Tajik presidential press service.

In his telegram of congratulations, Tajik leader highly appraised close partnering relations between the two countries that meet national interests of Tajikistan.  Rahmon also expressed confidence that many-sided relations between Tajikistan and Ukraine would develop in future as well.

President Rahmon expressed to undertake efforts jointly with Viktor Yanukovych to promote further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine.
