QURGHON TEPPA, August 19, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Residents of the city of Kulob living with HIV want to establish their own public association.

One of initiators of the establishment of the NGO told Asia-Plus today that people living with HIV began to suffer more both financially and morally.  “Our main objective is in providing, first of all, psychological assistance to HIV sufferers, helping them return to normal life,” he said.

Bahodur Roziqov, representative of the Kulob NGO Sudmand, said his organization was ready to assist Kulob residents living with HIV to register their own NGO.  According to him, there is no yet such a public association in Khatlon province.
