One killed, one injured in rock fall in Gorno Badakhshan

DUSHANBE, March 14, 2011, Asia-Plus  — One person was killed and one other was injured on March 12 as a rock fall hit a car in Gorno Badakhshan.

According to the Interior Ministry, the accident took place in Ishkashim district. “The rock fall hit the car and it fell over a precipice into river,” said the source “The driver, Tayghunsho Ikromshoyev, 46, died on the spot, while his passenger sustained various injuries and was taken to the central district hospital in Ishkashim.”
