Large amount of narcotics to be incinerated in the presence of representatives of CSTO member nation

DUSHANBE, March 16, 2011, Asia-Plus — A meeting of Rustam Nazarov, director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan, with Security Council deputy secretaries from member nations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and members of the working group for Afghanistan is taking place here today.

According to the DCA press service, Tajik drug control chief will acquaint the CSTO delegation members with the current drug situation in the country and opium production in Afghanistan as well as measures taken by the Tajik government to combat drug trafficking. 

Besides, narcotics that were confiscated in the course of 2010-2011 will be incinerated in the special furnace of Tajik counternarcotics agency in the presence of the CSTO delegation.
