DUSHANBE, March 26, 2011, Asia-Plus — On Friday March 25, President Emomali Rahmon signed a number of laws that have been adopted by parliament this year.
Among them are laws on preventing money laundering and the financing of terrorism, accounting and financial statements, free economic zones (FEZs) and environmental monitoring.
The president also signed laws requiring amendments to the country’s land, criminal and family codes.
According to the presidential press service, the amendments made to the codes are aimed at preventing illegal sale of lands, resale of land, illegal allotment of lands for housing, privatization of lands and fix punishment for these illegal actions.
