DUSHANBE, March 5, 2012 Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a draft law on coal mining at a March 5 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered a draft law on credit organizations and a draft resolution of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on the lower house’s bodies.

Authored by a group of deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, the draft law on coal mining is aimed at promoting achievement of energy independence, protection of rights of miners and creation of new jobs in the country, the spokesman said.
