KHUJAND, March 25, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The Tajik-Chinese Mining Company deployed in the settlement of Zarnisor (formerly Altyn Topkan), Sughd province has begun to repair apartment buildings in the settlement.

Rashid Rahmatov, the deputy director general of the company, says they plan to repair five four-storey residential buildings in Zarnisor in the coming two years.  “Two of them will be transferred to the settlement and three others will belong to the company,” he said, noting that apartments in residential buildings belonging to the company will be distributed to engineers and workers of the enterprise.

The company also intends to solve the problem of supply of water to the apartment buildings in the near future, Rahmatov said.  He added the company also provided regular assistance to local medical and educational facilities.  “Every month, the company transfers 2,500 somoni to the local hospital,” said the deputy director general.  “Besides, the company provides the hospital with necessary medicines every two months.”
