Head of the Tajik Parliament’s Economy and Finance Committee Safarali Rajabov met with Head of the World Bank’s Government Structures Reforming Department for Europe and Central Asia Bill Dorotins.
The sides met to discuss development of relations between Tajikistan’s Parliament and WB in such spheres as budget, economy and energy, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Muhammadato Sultonov told AP.
“S.Rajabov said that under the 2010 Memorandum between WB and Majlisi Namoyandagon on strengthening of Tajik Parliament’s potential the Lower Chamber has set up a secretariat which takes part in the design of laws on budget and finance,” the source said.
He said that B.Dorotins highly evaluated level of cooperation between the World Bank and Tajik parliamentarians and expressed his confidence that level of cooperation will improve in the future.
