DUSHANBE, June 20, 2012, Asia-Plus – Khokiro Sufiyev has been relieved of his post of chief of the traffic police department at the town of Vahdat for a fatal traffic accident in Dushanbe, an official website of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reports.

The accident took place late in the evening of June 16.  Sufiyev reportedly broke traffic regulations and crashed his Mercedes Benz into Opel-Astra.  The Opel-Astra driver Sirojiddin Solehov, 48, sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.

By interior minister’s Khokiro Sufiyev was relieved of his office and dismissed from police, the source added.
