DUSHANBE, December 27, 2012, Asia-Plus   Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimov met with Qatari Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha, Qatar on December 24.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed a broad range of issues related to expansion of bilateral cooperation between their ministries.

The sides, in particular, pointed to the necessity of expanding cooperation in combating terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime.

Ramazon Rahimov and Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and its future after withdrawal of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from there in 2014.

On the same day, Tajik minister reportedly met with Tajik nationals living and working in Qatar.  Some 30 Tajik citizens attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Ramazon Rahimov noted that the Tajik government is always ready to provide support to its nationals living abroad in tackling working and living conditions, the source said.
