KHUJAND, February 6, 2013, Asia-Plus  — A resident of the northern city of Konibodom has got a long jai term for brutally killing his brother.

The Sughd regional court sentenced Firdavs Sulaymonov, 30, to fifteen years in prison on February 5.  He will serve his term in a high-security penal colony.

We will recall that the body of young man with tied hands was found in the city garbage dump on November 14, 2012 after stray dogs dug out a hole.  The body was identified as 28-year-old Suhrob Sulaymonov.

A 30-year-old Firdavs Sulaymonov was detained on suspicion of having committed that crime.  The preliminary investigation reportedly established that on October 30, Firdavs Sulaymonov tied hands of his brother who was in a state of drunkenness and took him to the garbage dump where he buried him alive.
