DUSHANBE, November 26, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan Days in the United Kingdom will take place in London from November 27-28, according to the Tajik Embassy in London.
A seminar entitled “Tajikistan in the 21st Century: Prospects of Development and Progress” will be held on November 27.
The seminar participants are expected to discuss issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdomas well as attraction of investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy and its educational and cultural facilities.
Tajik Ambassador to the United Kingdom Erkin Qosimov, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Director for Central Asia Masaru Honma, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director for Tajikistan Chang Ching Yu, Representative of the Payvand Society Said Jalal Badakhshi, and Tajik Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Saidrahmon Nazriyev will address the seminar.
On November 28, a concert of Tajik known singer, Ms. Mehrinigor Rustam, will take place. The event is organized by the Tajik Embassy and Trade Representative of Tajikistan in London under support of the Ismaili Centre, London.
The Ismaili Centre in London is a religious, social and cultural meeting place for the Ismaili Muslim community in the United Kingdom. Opened in 1985, the Centre is the first religious and cultural center to be specially designed and built for the Ismaili community in the West.
Located in South Kensington, the Ismaili Centre occupies a prominent island site on Cromwell Road, facing the Victoria and Albert Museum on one of the major thoroughfares leading out of London.
