President Rahmon meets HRH Crown Prince in Manama

DUSHANBE, May 29, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, yesterday met in Manama with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

(BNA) reports that during the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations with partners across the world to compete in the modern global economy.

His Royal Highness highlighted the important role official visits by representatives of the Kingdom to countries across Eurasia have played in further developing relations with the region.  He particularly stressed that His Majesty King Hamad’s visits to the region have advanced coordination and cooperation across all sectors.

His Royal Highness welcomed President of Tajikistan’s visit as an important step in further bolstering trade between the two counties. He added the visit presents an opportunity to discuss a full range of strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation.

For his part, President Rahmon expressed his thanks for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and welcomed Bahrain’s commitment to developing bilateral relations.  President Rahmon reiterated his country’s interest in exploring all areas of cooperation to further enhance ties between the two countries.

Following the meeting, His Royal Highness hosted a banquet in honor of the official visit by President Rahmon and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
