DUSHANBE, July 16, 2014, Asia-Plus – An overall space of more than 307,000 square meters in residential buildings has been made available in Tajikistan over the first six months of this year, according to the Agency for Construction and Architecture under the Government of Tajikistan.  

Over the report period, general educational schools to accommodate 4,114 pupils, preschool institutions to accommodate 50 children and polyclinics that can handle 193 visits per shift have been put into operation.

Meanwhile, municipal redevelopment plans have been worked out for 36 cities and district administrative centers.

The Agency is reportedly continuing work on municipal redevelopment plans for Panjakent (98 percent), Ghonchi (90 percent), Vose (90 percent), Bokhtar (75 percent), Jomi (55 percent), Jabborrasoulov (45 percent), Murgab (40 percent), Varzob (40 percent), Asht (40 percent), and Mastchoh (5 percent).

Municipal redevelopment plans for Istiqlol (formerly Taboshar), Temourmalik, Rumi, Darvoz, Spitamen, Muminobod, Vanj, Sarband and Qairoqqum have already been completed.
