DUSHANBE, October 23, 2014, Asia-Plus — On Wednesday October 22, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament), met in Moscow with Moscow Governor Andrei Vorobyov, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, told Asia-Plus Thursday afternoon.

According to him, the sides discussed issues related to protection of rights of Tajik labor migrants and establishment of logistics centers to receive commodities from Tajikistan.

In the course of the talks, Tajik parliament speaker reportedly proposed to open Tajik-language schools for children of ethnic Tajiks living in Moscow oblast.

The sides agreed to set up joint working groups to work out draft agreement on cooperation between Tajikistan and Moscow oblast until early December, Saidov added.
