Iranian company expected to supply diesel fuel to Tajikistan this year

DUSHANBE June 23, 2015, Asia-Plus – Iran.ru reports that Deputy Director General of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Mr. Mansour Riahi, has noted that the company will begin supplying Iranian diesel fuel to Tajikistan and Armenia.

According to him, with increase in extraction of natural gas consumption of liquid fuel by Iranian power plants and industrial enterprises has decreased.  As a result of this, considerable volumes  of unclaimed liquid fuels have been formed inside the country and it has been decided to export them to neighboring countries.

Export deliveries of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), diesel fuel, kerosene and furnace fuel oil have begun to increase and these deliveries are expected to continue increasing in the coming months.

Mansour Riahi has noted that diesel fuel is exported to Afghanistan, Iraq and Nakhchivan (an exclave of Azerbaijan).  This year, the company will begin supplying diesel fuel to new markets, including Tajikistan and Armenia, Riahi added.

National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) is part of the Ministry of Petroleum of Iran.  NIORDC was established on March 8, 1991 and undertook to perform all operations relating to refining and distribution of oil products.

Although NIORDC was formed in the 1990s, the company has actually inherited 90 years of Iran’s oil industries” experiences in the fields of refining, transfer and distribution of oil products, as well as, engineering and construction of installations of oil industries.
