Dushanbe. 17 August. “Asia Plus” — According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, at the beginning of the second decade of this year about 142 tons of potatoes have been gathered on the fields of Tajikistan.
This capacity exceeds the same period of the last year approximately on 40 thousand tons.
According to the operative information of the Ministry of Agriculture crop management, planting potatoes this year has occupied an area of about 20 thousand hectares.
Harvested potatoes from an area of more than 6.5 thousand hectares, in compare to the same period last year, exceeds the harvesting by 1.2 thousand hectares.
Yields of harvested potatoes this year from each hectare amounted 216.3 kilograms.
Over 500 thousand tones have been collected in the last year in Tajikistan.
It is expected that this year will be collected about the same amount.
