Dushanbe. 18 August. “Asia Plus” — By the year 2100 the population of Tajikistan will increase by almost 2,2 times, predict the UN analysts.
As it stated in the new UN report on the prospects of world growth population, the population of Tajikistan today is 8 million 482 thousand people, nearly 35% of them are children under 14 years.
The report notes that in the year 1950 the population of the Republic have reached only 1 million 532 thousand people.
The UN analysts predict that by the year 2030 the population of Tajikistan will increase up to 11,2 million people, by 2050 – up to 14,2 million, and by 2100 – up to 18,5 million people.
Meanwhile, the number of adolescents under 14 years by the year 2050 will drop to 27%, by 2100 – to 18%.
The number of people who are over 60 years vice versa will increase: if in 2015 the people of this age from the total population of the Republic was only 5 per cent, in 2050 they will account for 13,2% and 25% in the year 2100.
According to the report, by the 2050 the Earth population will increase by more than 2 million people and reach 11,2 milliard people.
The UN forecasts says that India and China will keep the status of the densely populated states, but by the 2022 India will overtake China`s first place in overpopulation.
Experts think that by the year 2100 the population of China will decrease by 27%, and the India will increase by the same proportion.
By the year 2100 Uzbekistan will keep the status of mostly populated Republic in Central Asia with the population over 32 million people.
It is expected, that by the end of the century the population of Kazakhstan will grow up to 25 million,
Kyrgyzstan – to 9 million, and Turkmenistan – to 5.6 million people.
