Dushanbe. 20 August. “Asia Plus” — In seven months of this year approximately by 15% has increased the import of liquefied natural gas, which has become the main auto fuel in recent years in Tajikistan.
As reported the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to “Asia-Plus”, in January-July this year, Tajikistan imported about 185 thousand tons of liquefied gas. This is about 23 thousand tons more than in the same period in 2014.
In particular, in July this year the republic has received more than 30.5 thousand tons of liquefied gas. In comparison with July last year, import of such fuel grew by 9.1 thousand tones.
The main supplier of liquefied natural gas to Tajikistan is Kazakhstan. Also, in relatively small quantities, this fuel is supplied to the Republic from Turkmenistan and Russia.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, now more than 60% of the country”s motor traffic use liquefied petroleum gas as a fuel.
