Dushanbe. 27 August. “Asia Plus” — Recent economic events in world markets were discussed on Wednesday at a meeting of deputy chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) Umeda Latifova with the head of the World Bank in the Republic Patricia Vivers-Carter.

As reports the press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan, the sides have exchanged the views about the current trends in the world economy and the risks for Tajikistan, monetary and exchange rate policies of the country.

In addition, were discussed the issues of the development of the financial sector, as well as the process of recommendations implementation of the Financial Sector Assessment Program till 2015.

The sides have also discussed the issue of providing the technical assistance to the bank.

The World Bank representative has expressed the satisfaction with the level of cooperation with the National Bank of Tajikistan. She has noted that the issue of providing the technical assistance to the Tajik regulator for improving its infrastructure will be considered.
