DUSHANBE, October 13, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov yesterday received Mr. Damba Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, who arrived in Dushanbe for participation in the first Tajikistan-Mongolia political consultations.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Mongolia.
Aslov and Gankhuyag also discussed issues related to expansion of legal foundation of Tajik-Mongolian cooperation in different fields.
They also discussed a number of international and regional issues being of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, the first political consultations between Dushanbe and Ulaanbaatar took place here on October 12.
Co-chaired by Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Damba Gankhuyag, the consultations reportedly focused on prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, cultural and scientific spheres.
The two sides expressed readiness to expand bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, the source said.
We will recall that the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. Damba Gankhuyag, arrived in Dushanbe yesterday on a two-day working visit.
Mr. Damba Gankhuyag, 53, has served as State Secretary since June 2015. He had previously served as Ambassador at Large, Head of ASEM Mongolia Secretariat Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (December 2014-Juen 2015).
