DUSHANBE, November 27, 2015, Asia-Plus — The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has stopped operations of one more microlending organization.
According to the NBT press center, Tajik central bank on November 25 stopped operations of Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Burkok-1 in connection with voluntary liquidation at its request.
CJSC Burok-1 has reportedly failed to comply with the NBT’s minimum capital requirements for the microlending organizations.
We will recall that the NBT has stopped operations of twelve microlending organizations for the same reason since October 29.
On October 29, the NBT stopped operations of Limited Liability Company Avlodon, Limited Liability Company Behnamo, Limited Liability Company Imkon 2010, CJSC Omad and CJSC Umedi Yovon, and on November 13, Tajik central bank stopped operations of Limited Liability Company Kayoniyon, Limited Liability Company Doustkom, CJSC Daftari Moliyavi, and CJSC Barhaq.
The NBT notes that the level of agency of those microlending organizations in the country’s financial market has declined over the past several years.
The NBT recalled licenses of these microlending organizations and they were removed from the register of microlending organizations.
According to Tajik central bank, 128 lending organizations, including 17 banks, one non-bank credit institution, 41 microloan deposit organizations, 30 microlending organizations and 39 microloan funds now operate in Tajikistan.
