Afghan national detained with more than 107.6 kilos of narcotics in Kulob

DUSHANBE, March 28, 2016, Asia-Plus – An operation carried out by local police in the city of Kulob on March 24 led to the arrest of Afghan drug trafficker, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

107.6468 kilograms of narcotics were confiscated from him.  A totaled included 97.424 kilograms of cannabis, 9.266 kilograms of hashish and 956.8 grams of raw opium.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry’s website reported on March 28 that a 55-year-old resident of the city of Kulob has been detained on suspicion of drug pushing.  9.004 kilograms of hashish were reportedly confiscated from him.
