Asia-Plus

Tajikistan’s national budget has received about 12.568 billion somoni over the first nine months of this year, which is 2.6 percent or more than 335 million somoni (equivalent to more than 42 million U.S. dollars) less than it was originally planned, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Secretariat.

Over the report period, the country’s national budget was supposed to receive more than 12.903 billion somoni.

Usually, taxes make up about 65 percent of the country’s national budget, non-tax receipts (government revenue not generated from taxes) make up about 10 percent and remaining part includes current income, grants, capital gains, etc.

The trend of arrears in the country’s budget can be seen in Tajikistan two years running.
