Three fraudsters have got lengthy jail terms for deceiving people with disabilities from Hisor and Nourodobod districts.  

A court in Dushanbe has sentenced Sayohat Sohibanazarova, Mahmoudjon Nosirov and Biloliddin Mudinov to between 9 and 11 years in prison.

The sentence followed their conviction on charges of a large scale fraud (Article 247 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).  

Gaining the trust and confidence of people with disabilities from Hisor and Nourodobod districts they reportedly collected totaling 196,700 somoni from them during the period from June 2016 to January 2017, promising to assist with getting dwelling in Dushanbe. 

Sayohat Sohibnazarova was sentenced to 11 years in prison while Mahmoudjon Nosirov and Biloliddin Mudinov got a jail term of nine years each.
