Tajikistan and Germany have decided to hold the next political consultations in November in Dushanbe.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, this issue was discussed at a meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Germany Maliksho Nematov with Mr. Michael Evers, KfW Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasia and Central Asia, which took place in Frankfurt, Germany on September 17.
Mr. Kurt Strasser, the Head of the Central Asia Division at KfW Development Bank, also attended the meeting.
The sides reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany, activities of the intergovernmental commission for financial and technical cooperation, as well as the progress of implementation of the Germany-supported projects in Tajikistan.
They also exchanged views on the next political consultations that are expected to take place in Dushanbe in November this year.
Recall, the previous Tajik-German political consultations, chaired by Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Mr. Andreas Peschke, the Commissioner of the Federal Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia took place in Dushanbe on May 24, 2016.
During the annual political consultations, the sides usually discuss state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation as well as cooperation between the countries within international organizations.
