38 cases of juvenile suicide reported in northern Tajikistan last year

Thirty-eight cases of juvenile suicide were reported in the Sughd province last year, which is six cases more than in 2016, Osim Karimzoda, the head of the Sughd education directorate, told reporters in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, on February 9.  

According to him, 145 crimes were committed in the province by minors last year.  “Seventy-five of these crimes were committed by school students,” he said.  

“In 2016, 146 crimes were committed in the province by minors, with 81 of them being committed by school students,” Karimzoda added.
