One more knifing has been reported in the Tajik capital.  A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition after sustaining stab wound to the chest.

An official website of the Dushanbe Police Department, reported yesterday that a group brawl occurred on May 29 following quarrel between the 18-year-old Kishvar Ghoibov and the 21-year-old Damir Ahmadov

During the brawl, Ghoibov stabbed the 21-year-old Firdavs Sharipov in the chest.  Sharipov is currently in critical condition in a hospital.

The brawl instigators were detained on May 30, according to the Dushanbe Police Department’s website.

The 18-year-old Kishvar Ghoibov, the 21-year-old Eraj Ayubov and the 21-year-old Damir Ahmadov were reportedly detained over the brawl.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 110 – intentionally causing serious injury; and Article 237 – hooliganism.  They could face 12 years in prison each.
