The final sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the fifth convocation will take place on June 29 and then Majlisi Namoyandagon deputies will go on a summer recess on July 1.
A June 29 meeting is expected to review the results of the past year’s work and consider a number of draft laws.
The summer recess will last until August 15, and from August 16 to September 30, lawmakers will work in profile committees. The fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fifth convocation will begin its work on October 1, 2018.
In case of necessity, the President of Tajikistan has the right to convoke an extraordinary session of the parliament during the summer recess.
