Newly-appointed ambassador of Turkmenistan presents credentials to Tajik foreign minister

Newly-appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan, Hemra Togalakov, yesterday presented copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

The two reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

By Turkmen president’s decree of Hemra Togalakov was appointed new Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan on July 5, replacing Chary Atayev.

Prior to this, Hemra Togalakov had served as Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan since June 2012.

Meanwhile, Chary Atayev was appointed Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium.
