Speaking at the forum, Dr. Pratibha Mehta, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Tajikistan, noted that International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is an important event giving women new opportunities not only for their own development but also for development of the country as a whole.

She noted that women constitute over 50 percent of those engaged in certain activities worldwide and in Tajikistan.  This allows them not only actively participating in development of society but also getting new opportunities for their financial stability and improvement of living conditions, Dr. Pratibha Mehta said.
