A new Ambassador of China to Tajikistan, Mr. Lu Bin, yesterday presented the copy of his credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed issues related to the state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral political and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and China.

Muhriddin and Lu reportedly also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within the frameworks of a number of regional and international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), the United Nations and some others.

Mr. Lu Bin replaced Mr. Yue Bin, who had served as China’s Ambassador to Tajikistan since December 2015.
