President Emomali Rahmon has replaced Khatlon governor and shaken up a number of diplomatic envoys, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
By president’s decree Qurbon Hakimzoda, who had previously served as head of the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy, was appointed acting governor of Khatlon province, replacing Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda.
Hakimzoda was born on April 1, 1966 in Bobojon-Ghafourov district of Sughd province. He has scientific degree of the Candidate of Sciences in Agriculture.
In 2006-2008, he served as deputy governor of Sughd province, in 2008-2010 – chairperson of Zafarobod district (Sughd province), 2010-2013 – chairperson of Farkhor district (Khatlon province), and in 2013-2017 – first deputy governor of Khatlon province. In January 2018, Hakimzoda was appointed to head the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy.
Orif Khojazoda, formerly deputy governor of Sughd province, was appointed to head the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy.
Orif Khojazoda was born on March 31, 1970 in Bobojon-Ghafourov district of Sughd province.
In 2007-2008, he served as head of the Sughd land management directorate, in 2008-2009 – head of the Gulisiton (formerly Qairoqqum) land management department, in 2009-2010 – first deputy head of the Sughd land management directorate, in 2010-2015 – head of the Sughd land management directorate, in 20015-2016 – head of Spitamen district (Sughd province), and on February 26, 2016, Khojazoda was appointed deputy governor of Sughd province.
Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda was relieved of his post of governor of Khatlon province in connection with transfer to other job.
He was appointed to head the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan replacing Khairullo Ibodzoda, who was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
Besides, Sherali Jonon was relieved of his post of Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan.
Nazirmad Alizoda was relieved of his post of Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Mongolia (with residence in Astana) in connection with transfer to other job.
Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Mahmadsharif Haqdod was also appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Lithuania with residence in Minsk.
