The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) calls on the country’s population to inform about shortcomings in activities of local banks. By this way, Tajik central bank wants to regain people's trust in the country’s banking system.
The National Bank of Tajikistan asks users of banking services to inform about all shortcomings they face up to in the country’s lending agencies.
Representative of the NBT say this will help remove problems arising during banking service and protect rights of users of banking services.
According to the NBT press center, this measure is taken for the purpose of promoting President Rahmon’s policy aimed at improving population’s access to high-quality financial products and regaining people’s trust in the country’s banking system.

President derides banking system for poor performance
President Emomali Rahmon has sharply criticized the country’s banking system for shortcomings existing in its activities.
His criticism, directed at local banks, came during an address to a meeting of senior representative of the country’s fiscal agencies (Custom Service and Tax Committee) and banks that took place here on May 10.
The head of state, in particular, noted that numerous structural shortcomings still exist in the banking system and pointed to the banks' failure to observe principles of corporate management and low level of qualification of bank employees.
