Three killed, two others injured in two traffic accidents on Dushanbe-Khujand highway

Three persons were killed and others injured in two traffic accidents on the Dushanbe-Khujand highway, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

The first fatal traffic accident took place in Varzob district on October4.  Akramjon Ashourov, 64, reportedly lost control of his Lada-Kalina and it turned over.

As a result of the accident, Ashourov and his wife Ruziqul Odinayeva, 58, died on the spot, while another passenger, Suhrob Melikov, sustained various injuries and was taken to a hospital.  

Another fatal traffic accident took place on October 6 in Sughd’s Bobojon-Gahfourov district.  Opel-Zefira, driven by Tolibjon Shokirov, 64,reportedly went into oncoming traffic and slammed into Opel-Vectra, driven by Abduqahhor Qalandarov, 38.

As a result of the accident, Abduqahhor Qalandarov died in a hospital from injuries he sustained in the accident.

Passenger of Opel-Zefira, Mubinjon Homiov, also sustained various injuries and was taken to a hospital.
