Uzbekistan simplifies the procedure for registration of media

Asia-Plus

Uzbekistan has simplified the procedure for registration of media and media outlets now may be registered through the state services centers without applying to the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMC) under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan.

Citing AIMC, CA-NEWS says applicant now can apply to the state services centers or to the Single Portal   for Interactive State Services (my.gov.uz), to fill the form and submit editorial charter (if the editorial office is not a legal entity) and shareholders’ agreement (if the number of founders is two or more people).

If an applicant is the third person, an electronic copy of power of attorney must be attached to the application.

Under the new procedure, the registration of a media outlet will take fifteen days against the previous thirty days.
