The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the population has found it difficult to name the cause of death of Khurshed Karimov, who had worked as physical in a school for gifted children (Dushanbe Lyceum No. 1).
The Health Ministry says the cause of death of Khurshed Karimov is still unknown. “We have not yet received the test results. As soon as the test results are ready we will report them to media,” The health Ministry press center says.
Khurshed Karimov reportedly died on April 21.
Some media outlets say parents were asked on April 22 to take their children and Dushanbe Lyceum No. 1 was placed under quarantine.
The Ministry Education and Science, however, says that no one educational facility has been placed under quarantine.
“The lyceum, in which Khurshed Karimov had worked, functions as usual. Children continue to study according to the curriculum,” Ehson Khoushbakht, a spokesman for the Ministry Education and Science, told Asia-Plus Thursday afternoon.
