The Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, has told national news agency Khovar that Tajikistan has enough medicine stocks and treatment for COVID-19 is free of charge.

“Today, Tajikistan has enough medicine stocks and remedies,” Abdullozoda told Khovar on May 26.

He also noted that treatment for a new coronavirus (COVID-19) is absolutely free of charge.   “Of course, there are some medicines that are not available in drugstores and the proper distribution of medicines to patients depends on the conscience of each doctor,” the minister said.

He further noted that five labs testing for COVID-19 now operated in Dushanbe and the number of such Abdullozoda said that more than 3,000 additional beds had been prepared in the country for COVID-19 patients.

“It should be noted that the number of COVID-19 patients is decreasing in the country.  The number of recovering patients is increasing say by day,” the minister added.
