More than 100 tons of plums sent by two districts of Khatlon to Russia over the past two days

Two districts of the southern Khatlon province have exported more than 100 tons of plums to the Russian Federation over the past two days.

The press center of the Khatlon government says the Kushoniyon district has exported 50 tons of plums to the Russian city of St. Petersburg and the Jaloliddini-Balkh district has sent 51 tons of plums to Russia.  

As of May 27, the Khatlon province has reportedly exported 139,000 tons of fruits and lemons to foreign countries.  

The agricultural goods have been exported mainly to Kazakhstan – 23,730  tons; Pakistan – 10,704 tons; Afghanistan – 1,863.2 tons; Russia and Kyrgyzstan – 63.2 tons each; etc. 

The agricultural good are reportedly delivered to foreign countries by rail and ground transportation.
